Sorry my blog entry is very late today. I had a dance program that I went to. I came straight home after school, got ready, left the house, danced and came back home at 9:30. I am very tired! Luckily, I do not have that much homework tonight. Thank god! I just started working on all of my homework after eating my dinner and mini-donuts. They were good!
So today in computer science class, we did some more work on Turing. When we got to class, we were given a lesson on things that had to do with our homework after Mr.Arkin gave us some definitions to copy from the overhead. All of the information he gave us, was actually very helpful. Later, Mr.Arkin showed us a trick that occurs if you do not write your program fragments with the correct numbers and showed us how focus is very important when working with Turing. We were given a case where we asked the program to display 4 asterisks in each corner but, when we would run the program, there would only be two who were one above the other. We found a solution that we did not ay attention to when we did the activity which caused us to get a different result. You need to remember the things we learned before, to complete this. Later, after we finished this activity, Mr.Arkin gave us the assignment of making a border on our run window using asterisks. Mr. Arkin was able to do this in 10 program fragments while it took me 52 program fragments to get the border. We were given a chance to work on this in class!
For homework, we were asked to get dividers for our class, finish the border assignment, and review and take notes on “Variables” and “Input” on the touque.ca website. Luckily again, I finished the border assignment in class, so I am done with that! Now, for homework all I have to do is get the dividers (probably have to buy them) and take notes on the concepts he asked for.
Wish me good luck and the same back to you! I am excited to learn about input tomorrow!
